Disneyland

We just got back from a great Disneyland vacation.

Flying at SEATac.

Kiera's first ride at Disneyland was the Carousel.  She was a little uncertain at first.

Dumbo, her second ride, turned out to be a favourite.  She even got to fly in a purple one.

Kiera went all princess on us.  She HAD to have the Minnie ears with the princess crown and veil.  Shortly after she met Minnie herself.

Kiera's favourite princess is Ariel, The Little Mermaid.  We took her to Ariel's Grotto for a character breakfast where she got to meet all the Disney princesses.

You know how kids will have more fun with the box than the expensive toy that came in the box?  The same is true for the benches outside Disneyland...

Fireworks were a great way to end our last day at Disneyland.

How can two little people take up two whole King sized beds?

Since we flew through Seattle, we got a bonus vacation day and went to one of Kiera's favourite places - The Seattle Children's Museum.                   

Some Catching Up

Back in August, Bethany came to visit.  We all had a great time just hanging out and doing some touristy stuff too.  The weather that week certainly didn't cooperate in helping us convince Bethany she should move back to BC.

Also back in August, we went to the Wild Night lantern festival in Edgemont.  It doesn't quite have the atmosphere of the Trout Lake lantern festival, but, as that one was cancelled this year, it was a good alternative.  Kiera enjoyed dancing to the great cover band as she made her lantern and got a front row seat for the fire show after the parade.

Labour Day weekend, we enjoyed dinner and a walk in White Rock.  The weather had finally returned to summer.

Last weekend we went to Avalon's Dairy's open house.  It was insanely busy, but there was Charlotte Diamond, Nearly Neil, Balloon animals (Kiera asked for a purple giraffe, her favourite colour and animal), and yummy ICE CREAM.

Last week Riley did a photo shoot for PJzzzz.  Kiera's on the billboard, so we figured it was time for Riley to be in the spotlight.  His 'twin sister' even made an appearance.

 

Darcie and Jason at Revival Arts Studio take amazing photos.  Of course, the model is pretty darn cute too!
